One housing market, many town halls

Buyers shop the corridor, not the municipality. Marvin and Weddington are largely residential with big lots; Wesley Chapel and Indian Trail carry more mid-market inventory and retail; Monroe is the county seat with services and industry; Matthews and Indian Land bracket the corridor north and south.

Each has its own tax rate, ordinances and character, which is why identical houses price differently across a town line.
